I build backends that keep working when real people use them.

Computer Science graduate, King Abdulaziz University, 2026. Backend experience at Blend and Marsa. I led the platform a behavior change program ran on every day of its pilot.

Based in Makkah. Open to Jeddah and Riyadh.

  1. Supervisor's phonecheck-in
  2. Cloudflare Accessemail code
  3. WorkerTypeScript
  4. Google Sheetrow version 43

Row changed since it was read? 409. The save stops, and nothing is overwritten.

How the Absir platform saves a check-in. Every row carries a version, so two supervisors can't overwrite each other's work.

Experience

  1. Sep 2025 to Jan 2026

    Backend Developer

    Marsa, Business Analysis Association Group

    Remote, part-time

Built the backend for a B2B platform that connects mosque administrators with maintenance providers: MySQL schema, REST APIs, and service request routing and approval.

  2. Jun to Aug 2025

    Backend Intern

    Blend (Al-Mumkinah Information Technology)

    Riyadh, on site

Laravel APIs that bring orders from 3 delivery platforms into one dashboard. Contributed to the Flutter app for managing orders.

    App Developer

Novelty, INJAZ Saudi Arabia Company Program

    Jeddah, part-time

IoT school bus tracking for drivers, school managers and parents with Flutter, Firebase and ESP32. When the connection dropped, the device kept the last location and sent it on reconnect.

Selected work

  1. Technical lead, 2026

    Absir Supervisor Platform

The web platform a volunteer team used every day to run a 14-day behavior change program.

Adopted by the team on 1 Oct 2026, and covered by 64 automated tests.

    • TypeScript
    • Cloudflare Workers
    • Google Sheets API

The platform's Today page with mock data, showing who has reported and who is still waiting.
  2. Graduation project, 2026

    BotSense

Botnet detection that explains every alert in terms an analyst can act on.

The IoT detector reached 99.91% accuracy on a held-out test set.

    • Python
    • PyTorch
    • SHAP
    • PyQt6

  3. Backend intern, 2025

    Blend

One dashboard for orders from 3 delivery platforms, each in its own format.

Three order formats in, one consistent format out, with each platform's edge cases handled in the API.

    • PHP
    • Laravel
    • MySQL
    • REST APIs

  4. Technical lead

    Baseerah website

An awareness site that uses addictive design tricks on you, then shows you how.

More work

6 smaller projects
  • Absir Kit

A private page for each participant after the program, with their goal and plan. It expires after 13 months unless extended, then deletes itself.

Cloudflare Pages Functions, Workers KVDemo, mock data
  • Personal plan questionnaire

16 screens that build each participant's plan. It normalizes units, accepts Arabic-Indic digits, saves progress, and checks the server's reply instead of trusting a false success.

    JavaScript, Google Apps Script
  • Nightly automation

Every night of the pilot it pulled the sheet, checked for outliers, rendered the leaderboard image and drafted the group message. When numbers looked wrong, it alerted the team instead of posting.

    Playwright, Canvas
  • Hemma AI Hackathon, 2025

Designed the backend and database and delivered the APIs to the front-end team. The endpoints saved submissions from 100+ participants.

    Supabase
  • Restaurant menu system

Menu management for restaurants: categories, items, add-ons and branch hours.

    PHP, LaravelGitHub
  • Arabic reference on brain rot

About 85 pages and 65 references. I audited reports from 4 AI models and documented 30 errors in them.

About

I'm Eyas, from Makkah. I studied Computer Science at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and graduated in 2026.

Most of my backend work is in PHP and Laravel with MySQL. My AI work is in Python and PyTorch. Lately I've been learning how engineering teams at large tech companies work: design docs before code, recorded decisions, code review and automated tests.

Outside work, I founded Baseerah, a student initiative about mindful phone use, which is where Absir came from. I also like explaining technical things to people outside tech, in Arabic and English.

Leadership and teaching

  • Founder, Baseerah initiativeA student initiative about mindful phone use, now in its second edition. Absir is one of its programs.
  • Course instructor, Taqn Charitable Society, 2026Designed and taught a 90-minute online course on digital privacy and personal data protection.
  • Guest speaker, Gifted Technical Schools, Jeddah, Sep 2026Two 45-minute AI sessions for 69 high school students.
  • Web team lead, MLSA club, 2025Led 3 students building the club website. I owned the backend and database and split the front-end tasks.

Education

  • BSc in Computer Science, King Abdulaziz UniversityFaculty of Computing and Information Technology, Jeddah. July 2026.

Programs and certificates

  • Samsung Innovation Campus, AI track (Misk), in progress
  • Saudi Council of Engineers, Specialist, Computer Science
